*** UPDATE: the event ‘The Future of Learning with Walter Baets’ has been POSTPONED ***

Due to the recent outbreak of the Coronavirus COVID-19 in the Netherlands, and following the advice from the National Institute for Public Health and the Environment (RIVM), we’ve made the decision to postpone the scheduled event which was planned for tomorrow (Thursday, March 12th).

The safety and wellbeing of attendees and preventing the virus to spread any further, has our priority and given the increasing number of confirmed coronavirus COVID-19 cases in the Netherlands, we considered it unwise to hold the gathering in a confined setting.

We will keep you informed when a new date has been set for this event.

Best regards,

Community Rotterdam – SingularityU Benelux

Creating a Perspective together

Technological developments are accelerating rapidly and are emerging exponentially. This makes it challenging to keep up, while applying these technologies can make an important contribution to solving major societal issues.

Being able to see these possibilities and being able to convert them into applications are important contemporary skills that require a different way of learning.

Developments, both in terms of technology and in the understanding of our brain and how we learn, lay the foundation for exponential changes. This creates new ideas about what we have to learn, how we learn and what our ultimate potential can ultimately be.

SingularityU Chapter Rotterdam and House of Performance will join forces for this session. SingularityU’s mission is “to educate, empower, and inspire leaders to leverage exponential technologies to solve humanity’s grand challenges.” House of Performance uses its expertise “to ensure that people, teams and organizations are able to excel”.

During this gathering we’d like to look for a perspective on the ‘The Future of Learning’. How, where, when, why, what and with whom will we learn in the future?

After an introduction by Walter Baets, in which he will share his ideas and initiatives on “the Future of Learning”, we will develop our perspective further in an interactive workshop. The goal is to come to an initial outline of our vision of the future of learning.

Afterwards there is an opportunity to chat with a drink and to meet with other attendees.
